Internal Use Mobile Apps Design & Development
Project summary
The McDonald's brand is probably one of the best-known on Earth. McDonald’s famous value proposition of consistent quality of food served quickly in a uniform manner worldwide is not easy to deliver. Plus, while not mentioned in its value proposition, cost control and profitability are at the top of their objectives. We developed 3 efficient mobile apps with simple, intuitive UX/UI that load external data and update McDonald’s systems.
The Challenge
To develop a system that improves communication between the franchises and suppliers. Also monitoring management of suppliers and franchisees processes enabling them, as well as the corporate level, to benefit. .

Mobile App Design & Development
Project summary

Web App Domestic Buildings Self-Selection Tool
Project summary
Grundfos is a Danish pump manufacturer, based in Denmark, with more than 19,000 employees globally. The annual production of more than 16 million pump units, circulator pumps (UP), submersible pumps (SP), and centrifugal pumps (CR). Grundfos also produces electric motors for the pumps as well as electric motors for separate merchandising. Grundfos develops and sells electronics for controls for pumps and other systems. We developed a web application that allows users (pump distributors) to suggest the right product according to the customer's need.
The Challenge
Develop a web application that allows users (pump vendors) to suggest the right product according to the customer's need. The pump sellers didn’t have the experience to give the customer the best option about which water pump to buy, that caused loss of sales and did not give the customer the best experience. Therefore, the web application not only provides a simple process for the pump sellers, but also statistics so that Grundfos can make the best decisions to continue to attract customers.
Solution
Clarika's team worked on the development of a web application that consists of a friendly and easy to use front end and also a functional backend that offers the possibility of managing all the sections.
The web application not only provides a simple process for pump dealers, but also statistics so that Grundfos can make the best decisions to continue to attract customers.
Also, Grundfos has more control over security and user permissions.

App Development for Pharmaceutical Auditing Software Company
Project summary
Calidad.ai it's a company that produces software for the pharmaceutical auditing and quality industry.
The Challenge
Calidad wanted a consulting partner who could also serve as an affordable development team.
Solution
Clarika helped scale the scope to an achievable project. The team reviewed the initial concepts and produced better plans.
We deliver UX designs, workflows, and mockups in InDesign. The team first created wireframes, then designed primaries, and then almost the final design. We completed most of the product design towards the end of the project, making it an iterative process. We work on parts of the infrastructure that are needed to support the application.
We used Flutter because the client wanted to do multi platform development at a low price. Also, we create UML (Unified Modeling Language) graphics that we complete to solve the analysis.

Delfos Travel eCommerce Development
Delfos is one of the main travel wholesalers in Argentina, with over 150 employees and known for its leading program and opening a network of local branches.
The Challenge
In 2011, Delfos reached out to us to develop an exclusive online platform for ticket sales and hotel reservations. Given the scope of the project, we decided to build a dedicated team focused on developing and implementing modules based on a continued analysis of priorities and business goals.
Delfos needed a system to seamlessly combine their tools, these included data management, ticket quota control, and other functions focused on facilitating the overall sales process for their clients.
The Solution
We organized the platform by implementing multiple business verticals:
these included flights, hotels, quotas, travel packages, large groups, etc.
At the same time, we restructured the website in order to integrate all the tools, making the user journey seamless for Delfos’ main clients: smaller tourism agencies. This meant developing tools to improve the B2B process while also building their very own B2B2C system that allowed agencies to self-manage, using Delfos’ embedded scripts on their website.
In other words, the end-user can access an agency’s website that is supported by the Delfos platform. Smaller agencies thus benefit from the system we developed for Delfos. A win-win from every angle!
Results
- Full-platform development, integrating major platforms
- Full UX/UI redesign of Delfos’ platform

- Business enhancement with a stellar user experience

Website for Vale Card
Project summary
“Vale” is a virtual bottle container system created for ZX Ventures (global growth and innovation group within Anheuser-Busch InBev, World’s premier beverage manufacturer and distributor). “Vale” system is based on returnable packaging solutions that benefit the environment and encourage green practices. By becoming a user, anyone can bring empty containers to verified businesses and the corresponding balance is added to their card. The results for users include saving money, freeing space at home, and caring for the environment.
The Challenge
“Vale” reached out to us to develop a website that implemented an innovative and modern design. The priority was to get a responsive site that worked without any hiccups on smartphones, tablets, and PCs. Delivering a useful, intuitive, and enjoyable tool was paramount in order to ease the user’s experience getting virtual transfers, suggest verified businesses near them, and make transactions from the site.
Solution
Our team developed a website that could adapt to Vale’s diverse users, including any person wanting to take advantage of its possibilities, as well as member retail outlets. To do this, we implemented a personalized WordPress site using Sage, along with additional plugins to consume a series of APIs from the client’s backend.

Platform UX & Dev for Water Pump Manufacturing Company
"The experience with Clarika was great."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the regional digital marketing manager at a water pump manufacturing company.
What challenges were you trying to address with Clarika?
We needed to develop a digital platform that would allow plumbers and the general public to find the best product for their needs.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Clarika developed our platform as well as the user experience for it. They used agile methodologies, though I don’t know the specific technologies they used for the development.
What is the team composition?
We worked with about six people.
How did you come to work with Clarika?
I contacted different companies around the world. Some of the elements I was looking at were experience in the development of similar projects, pricing, and finally, experience working with international clients.
I had worked with one of the members of Clarika before, which is how I first heard about them. I evaluated them along with these other companies and they were the ones that best adjusted to our needs.
How much have you invested in them?
We spent $20,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in April and it took us about 2 months and a half to finish the project.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Thanks to the platform we developed with Clarika, we’ve realized that these kinds of tools have been very useful. As a result, we’ve decided to develop more similar projects for more of our products. Our experience with them was very positive; we don’t work usually with external companies, and it was a great learning process.
We haven’t launched the platform to our clients yet so we don’t have results on the impact in that sense yet but as for our collaboration with Clarika, it has been very successful.
How did Clarika perform from a project management standpoint?
They had to adjust to some of our schedules and processes, and we had flexibility with them too, so in that sense, it was an experience of mutual adaptation. They were very helpful at providing consulting and orientation for the project. The experience with Clarika was great.
Also, despite the time difference and different schedules, they were always available. We were able to adapt perfectly to it and to be even more efficient
What did you find most impressive about them?
We were very satisfied with the results in general.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There’s nothing I could say. We had very open communication and they were able to adapt and to comply with all of our needs.

App Design for Pharmaceutical Auditing Software Co
"Clarika asked valuable questions about our expectations and the product."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
My business is Calidad.ai. We’re a company that produces software for the pharmaceutical auditing and quality industry.
What challenge were you trying to address with Clarika?
At the moment, our company consists of three founders. While two of us have the ability to code and design, we also have day jobs. We wanted a consulting partner that could also serve as an affordable development team
What was the scope of their involvement?
Clarika initially requested descriptions of what we wanted to do. This was useful because we threw all of our ideas but requested an MVP. They helped us to scale the scope to an achievable project. Their team iterated on the initial concepts and produced better plans.
Clarika delivered UX designs, workflows, and mockups in InDesign. Their team first created wireframes, then primary designs, and then nearly the final design. They completed the bulk of the product design towards the end of the project, so it was an iterative process. Their team also worked on pieces of the infrastructure that are needed to support the application. They used Flutter because we want to do cross-platform development cheaply. They also created UML charts (unified modeling language) that we completed to work out the analysis.
What is the team composition?
About 5–6 people worked on this project including a developer, two designers, and a product coordinator. Another person popped in from time to time with business logistics.
How did you come to work with Clarika?
I searched online for companies with blog entries or references to the Flutter platform. I found a handful of consulting companies with that expertise. Clarika was the best fit given their expertise and location. They’re also nearshore and only five hours away from us.
During our introductory conversation, their team showed a completed application that involved similar goals and challenges to ours. They have a background in FDA compliant applications and that similarity to our project was particularly attractive to us.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent between $5,000–$10,000 on their services. They’re definitely less expensive than the other companies that I considered.
What is the status of this engagement?
We contacted Clarika in December 2019 and completed the project in February 2020. We renewed their contract to support the app’s development.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We wanted specifications and workflows for our application. We wanted designs that met our users’ expectations based on the feedback that we received. We wanted design demos to bring to users for more feedback as well as to put into the crowdfund to help generate income. Clarika provided exactly those products. We can share their designs and videos with users and integrate their work into slides.
How did Clarika perform from a project management standpoint?
Typically, they sent us questions via email with plenty of time for us to prep our response before our daily stand-ups. During those meetings, their team showed us their progress and asked for clarification. We also discussed various issues then too. Their communication was great and they never made assumptions.
We had several different document types where we clarified goals. They also noted opportunities for improvements. Their team identified assumptions that needed to be changed based on user information. They tried to understand user scenarios as best as possible.
While they were supposed to create a JIRA project, it wasn’t a problem because they didn’t do development work and showed us their progress in every meeting. When we renewed the contract, I commented on the situation because a JIRA project’s critical for development and Clarika understood.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Clarika asked valuable questions about our expectations and the product. Their team also made suggestions to help us better reach our goals. When we wanted a function, they presented designs that enabled it. Their team came up with nice designs. For example, their team looked into our content logistics and content management. They came up with an approach that allows us to update and maintain content easily. Once the product’s built, we’ll be able to add content dynamically without it being too tightly bound to the structure. They not only listened to our needs but also our customers’ needs.
Are there any areas they could improve?
It would’ve been good to have a functional JIRA project set-up before we started but their designs were spot-on.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I work in a food services laboratory, in the process management area. My job is to optimize the processes flow and automatize tasks in order to focus the time investment in creating value for the clients.
For what projects/services did your company hire Clarika?
We hire Clarika to enhance the communication with our clients over the course of two year long projects. The punctual need was to develop a mobile app for the clients, to notify them whenever a task is completed and allow them to have an up-to-date report of the completion % of their project. In order to have that app, a web backend had to be developed too.
What were your goals for this project?
To have the app deployed and our needs met in the project due date. To understand the agile methodology and incorporate it, and to be able to participate in the project with my vision.
How did you select this vendor?
We asked to a developer friend to recommend us companies. We considered 4 companies, and we select clarika between them because of the price-quality: they were a settled company with resources, seniority, they seemed to be motivated and they catched our needs quickly.
Describe the project in detail.
Scope Android and iOS app, web backend. We needed to input data in the backend and it has to be uploaded to a server, so we can visualize that data in our mobile apps. We needed to upload photos and text. And also to download MS Excel reports of the backend with the data. We have 1 project owner contributing to the develop, with daily meetings and guidelines.
The vendor was needed to provide design, development, content creation, and to contribute with their own point of view to improve the client experience. The first 3 meetings were to understand the company policy and the market, a few mock ups were presented and then the web develop started to run.
What was the team composition?
1 Designer - UX/UI 1 web developer 1 hybrid app developer 1 project manager 1 technical leader 1 QA 1 product owner Uniform over the time
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The app have just been deployed.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Excelent, with daily meetings and the Atlassian Jira complement the follow up was very easy. In the early sprints it was more complicated and rough, but it got much better to the end.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
How easy they understood our needs and how they interpreted the key points to make the system flow easy and focused on the client. They're able to cooperate with our product owner based on their agile experience. The warmth of the team.
Are there any areas for improvement?
The service charge description, the company policy explanation. The Atlassian Jira management. The joint of the operational and commercial areas.

The workflow is very straightforward since they do a lot of the legwork and onboarding. We of course have hiccups here and there but overall it's very good and any issues are sorted out quickly.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The level of skill in onboarding and finding people with the right character is wonderful. They don't just find people with a list of skills and forward them over, the candidates are vetted effectively and they show enthusiasm, passion and care in everything they do.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
No company is perfect of course, but I struggle to think of anything that could be done better. The entire experience has been wonderful. The only thing I can think of is that we did have challenges with one candidate so far, but that was corrected very quickly.
